Recently my Stampin' Up downline Mary and myself held a Christmas Card Making Workshop which was a great success.
We had a lovely day with delicious cakes made by Mary and all day beverages prepared by my daughter Amy in personalised mugs (Mary had made a tag for each crafter to go on the handle of their mug). The raffle prizes included Stampin' Up goodies together with some decorated gift boxes containing sweets and home made sparkly cookies baked by Amy. Each cookie was impressed with a snowflake design using the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps (page 160 of the annual catalogue).
I am just going to show two of my cards from the day, as I feel it would not be fair to the ladies who paid to attend the workshop to show more than that. This first card is traditional in style and colour .....
I have used the new Gold Metallic Encore ink pad (pg 28 Seasonal Catalogue) to stamp a border of swirls with a stamp from Clockworks (pg 109 Annual Catalogue). The Christmas tree with its gold baubles is from the Warmth & Wonder hostess stamp set in the Seasonal Catalogue.
I have used Cherry Cobbler for the base card, with Very Vanilla for the stamping layer and mounted this onto some Brushed Gold card (pg 156 Annual Catalogue).
My second card, more modern in style and colour .....
I have used the beautiful Bermuda Bay ink for all the stamping on this card. The base card is Smoky Slate and the card trim at the top is Coastal Cabana with a strip of silver Glimmer Paper added.
Have a good weekend all.
Julia
