Framelits Top Edge Card

I have taken a couple of workshops this week and it has been really good sharing ideas with some lovely people. The new Summer Mini Catalogue seems to be very popular, especially the Framelits label dies.

Today I am showing a simple design where I have used the Framelits to shape the top of the card.

In the accompanying picture I have shown that if you place a folded card through the die with the cutting edge facing down you can cut the top section only. Before die-cutting trim the folded card to fit inside the Framelit as shown. Please note that the edges of the die underneath your card will cut into the cutting plate of your die cutting machine. You can cut the paper layer in the same way using one size smaller die.

    1. I had been looking for a way to make a shaped card using just one edge of the label framelit and loved your tip. Did you get the impression of the label showing through your card? It shows on all layers of mine so I'm not sure how to prevent this....

Love your card! I am going to keep plugging away! TFS!
